The weight of you a blanket
Holding me warm and close.
You’re hard summer rain.
Dirty and worn, standing in you.
Let today be fine
And tomorrow will fight it’s way through.
A love letter left to move you about.
Self-hatred in bloom
As you dance back and forth
Packing up the living room and kitchen.
Just for awhile, just till you’re whole.
But I’m stuck here waiting,
Shoes covered in mud.
