I’ll think of you at your desk
Diligent and thoughtful
Toiling through a day
Under appreciated
On your way home
Holding at a red light
Do you look at the seat next to
Thinking of when I filled it
Placing my hand on your leg
In a moment of intimacy or laughter
Not that I can remember which
Picture you in the forest
A day or two removed from a shower
Hair up and back
Revealing the mark I left on your neck
Sun baked into your skin
Omelets overcooked on open fire
The rustle of a sleeping bag
As I pull you in
The sigh you’ll leave between the trees
Marking your contentment
Know you standing in the door
Bracing against the doorframe
Holding the world with your will
They’ll say something more then less
The bravest woman on earth
Looks back at you from a mirror
You’ll know her well soon
Unencumbered by this weight
Get in the car with your bags
Swing by and pick me up
